Ti-6A1-4V Medical Titanium Alloy Rod
There are two types of medical grade titanium alloy rods: Ti-6AL4V and Ti-6AL4VELI are alloys consisting of 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium and are the most commonly used titanium alloys in medicine. Due to their harmony factor with the human body, these titanium alloys are widely used for medical procedures and body piercing. These titanium alloys are also known as Gr.5 and Gr.23.
Ti-6AL4V and Ti-6AL4VELI are more resistant to fracture when used for dental implants. The implant process begins with the placement of a titanium screw into the jaw. The screw is similar to a tooth root and acts similarly. After the bone grows into the medical-grade titanium screw within a specified period of time, a denture is attached to the implant.
